AirAsia will launch flights from Kuala Lumpur to two Indonesian destinations, Solo and Balikpapan.
From December 20, AirAsia offers one daily service to Balikpapan, with Solo commencing on December 22. All flights depart from KL International Airport.
“AirAsia would be the first low fare airline to operate direct flights to Balikpapan and Solo out of Kuala Lumpur. The Kuala Lumpur –Balikpapan route would allow us to gain access into Kalimantan. Solo is a gateway to Yogyakarta and Semarang, the heart of Javanese culture,” said Datuk Tony Fernandes, group CEO, AirAsia.
