Bali will soon experience a 20 megawatt (mw) black out as a result of the break down of five massive scale power plants in the Java-Bali Electrical interconnection system. The black out will be last for three hours during the peak time around 5 P.M until 10 P.M.
According to General Manager of PLN Bali Distribution (State owned Power Company), black out is the worst scenario. If the massive users of power such as hotels and factories are willing to use their secondary power supply (Generator Set), the black out can be avoided.
