Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA News) - Five countries have confirmed their participation in the ethnic musical festival for South East Asia (ASEAN) region during the 30th Bali Arts Festival in June-July.
The five countries are Thailand, China, Vietnam, Malaysia and host Indonesia, mainly Bali, said head of the cultural section of the local culture and tourism office, I Made Santha said on Sunday.
He said Indonesia would perform ethnic music from Java and Bali.
A schedule has been made for the musical performance during the festival, he said.
An international puppet festival will also be held during the Bali Arts Festival, he added.
it was reported that New Zealand, the United States, Japan, Britain and host Indonesia had confirmed their participation in the puppet festival.
In addition, such stage performance which will feature 12 musical groups of Indonesia, Japan, the United States, Singapore, India, South Korea, Thailand, Britain and Malaysia will enliven the festival.
Japan was reported to send three music groups, while the United States would likely send two groups and others send each one group.
