Garuda Indonesia is putting its faith in Australian travel agents to reignite interest in Bali and other destinations in Indonesia.
The airline has rescheduled an agents’ mega-fam that was cancelled following the Bali bombings last October.
The trip, themed ‘Faces of Indonesia’, will depart from ports around Australia at the end of April.
About 150 top-producing travel agents will be exposed to a range of specially planned itineraries covering Bali, Jogyakarta, Surabaya and Lombok.
Suranto Yitnopawiro, Garuda Indonesia regional manager for South West Pacific, said he hoped the agents’ visit would encourage a positive response and get Australians traveling to Bali again.
