A new deepsea water source was found in East Bali Sea (offshore of Karangsem), 350 m from the nearest beach. This deepsea water is a good source of healthy drinking water, with rich mineral contents. The research on this deepsea water had been carried out by the Udayana University, IPB Bogor and a number of Japanese scientists in Marine Tech Kuta.
This research was supported by Kyowa Concrete Company Co. Ltd. The result of this research stated that the deepsea water source in the offshore of Karangasem produces mineral-rich water that can be processed into healthy drinking water.
The representation of Kyowa Concrete Company Co. Ltd had proposed a plan to develop this deepsea water source with a full concern to the preservation of the nautical environment.
